《紛爭(zhēng)：最終幻想全集》沿用了《最終幻想：紛爭(zhēng)》的世界觀，F(xiàn)F系列的歷代角色登場(chǎng)，游戲采用了傳統(tǒng)的日式rpg風(fēng)格的畫面設(shè)計(jì)，但不是動(dòng)作游戲，而是回合制的RPG。 游戲背景設(shè)置在因?yàn)槎穸R聚了各個(gè)時(shí)空的戰(zhàn)士的世界，玩家需要阻止邪惡的次元將世界侵蝕，因而展開了旅程。從初代FF到FF14、FF零式等FF系列的角色都會(huì)在游戲中登場(chǎng)，而且全部的角色都有語音，玩家可以體驗(yàn)充滿謎團(tuán)的旅程。 游戲采用的是回合制，玩家只需要選擇特殊攻擊和HP攻擊這樣簡(jiǎn)單的操作就可以體驗(yàn)游戲的戰(zhàn)略，而且不同角色豐富的能力也可以搭配出豐富的連攜攻擊，戰(zhàn)斗一樣爽快。而且成員、裝備、能力、召喚獸等都可以自由搭配，玩家可以組成自己的夢(mèng)幻隊(duì)伍。
